How Her First Naughty Photoshoot Lead to Pregnancy Boudoir
“I’m pregnant!” she said, “but there’s something else you need to know…” This is the story of how one of my client’s first sessions lead directly to her next pregnancy boudoir shoot.
A Gift Her Husband Would Never Forget
Kathy had booked her first boudoir photoshoot to create a special wedding gift for her husband, and we had so much fun together. She was nervous at first, as many clients are, but as we worked together she began to open up and get excited. As soon as she saw the photos on the back of my camera she gasped!
”I’m finally starting to see what my husband sees in me”
She was so proud of how amazing she looked and felt in her photos, so I wasn’t surprised that when I saw her again she was glowing and smiling from cheek to cheek. And she got an absolutely amazing boudoir album to gift to her new husband. She couldn’t wait for him to see the photos!
The Big News
The next time I saw her she was so excited, grinning from cheek to cheek. I couldn’t wait to hear how she was enjoying her photos, but she had other things to talk about.
"Do you do pregnancy boudoir?" She asked me.
I immediately started screaming, we were both so excited, and I was so honored that she wanted me to take her photos again that year already, especially for such a monumental moment in her life.
But then she told me there was more to the story…

"But there's something else I need to tell you," she said.
"I was looking at the dates, and as it turns out I conceived the baby THE DAY my husband saw my boudoir photos for the first time."
We both couldn’t help but laugh hysterically.
Because to say her husband loved her boudoir photos is an understatement. He proudly hung her wall art above their bed, and she told me that before they sleep at night he’ll just sit there and smile and stare at it.
Will I (the Photographer) be the Godfather?
I'm so honored to have played a small role in helping her to see herself in a new light, let alone to know that this photoshoot lead to such a monumental life journey for her! And as the photographer that got her pregnant, I asked if that made me the child’s godfather (the question on all of our minds.) Here was her answer:
